Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and I really hope that this note finds you all safe and well during these unprecedented times.

My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of.

During lock-down, I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd. Here is a link to the Certificate.

I have also implemented some changes in the way I will have to operate, so please read the below, so you are aware next time you come to visit:

Booking Appointments:

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible and DO NOT BOOK OR COME TO THE CLINIC FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. You will be turned away if you show signs of being unwell. Due to me providing these services from home, I have to be extra vigilant as a family member is vulnerable, so it is vital that I keep them safe. I have amended my terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness/ other. Booking fees can be transferred to a future appointment but will not be refunded.

If I become ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and close my clinic. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled, you will have the option to re-book again.

Visiting the Clinic:

For your safety and to maintain the social distancing rules, I ask that you arrive at your appointment, at the aesthetic clinic as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving.

Please attend your appointment alone in order to reduce human contact. Unfortunately, friends and family members can no longer enter the premises. If you have booked appointments with friends /family members back to back then please continue to come to the clinic alone – one at a time.

On arrival I will use a thermometer to read your temperature. Once you have had this read, and your temperature is deemed normal, you will be asked to remove your outer wear and hand sanitise. If you are not having a facial treatment, you may also be asked to wear a mask.

Please don’t be surprised or upset if you see me, and I am in personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit, and during your treatment.

This may include but not limited too: disposable gloves / face masks/visor / aprons and shoe coverings where appropriate. I have a vulnerable adult at home and need to be extra vigilant.

I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the clinic including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

Wherever possible I will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross contamination/infection.

I will understand and not be offended if you wish to wear a face mask or wear disposable gloves when you visit the clinic, and during your treatment, if this is appropriate.

I confirm that the laundering of the clinic towels and uniforms are washed at 60 degrees C.

All disposable items are to be bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.

NB: If I receive further guidelines from the Government this month - I will of course add these procedures to the above.

TREATMENTS:

I have carried out a risk assessment for all of my treatments and I am confident that I can continue to provide these safely. If you wish to see any of these, please just ask.

During your treatment:

I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns at all about booking treatments, please let me know, and I will do what I can to reassure you.

PAYMENT OF treatment:

In order to avoid handling of cash, I would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by card or bank transfer ahead of treatment. I will reiterate this at time of booking.

Thank you for your understanding. I cannot wait to see you in the clinic soon.
